Joe Fox and Duke

Joe Fox and Duke

Serving as a marine in the Vietnam war, Joe was wounded in 1968 and awarded the Purple Heart. He has been paralyzed and wheelchair bound for close to 36 years. Joe has served on the board of directors for California Paralyzed Veterans Association, served on the Governor's Committee for Accessibility and helped as a Peer Counselor for Veterans who suffered from Drug and Alcohol Abuse. Joe also served as a Service Officer at the Los Angeles Federal Building for 5 years. In 1995, Joe was elected to the Paralyzed Veterans of America and served various positions including President. Now in his early retirement, Joe serves on the PVA Heritage OutDoor Recreation Fund, providing accessibility to the outdoors to those who have served our country and to those who are now serving and protecting our country. http://www.pva.org/index.htm
